Nayantara, Shriya's loss is Anjali's gain

Nayantara and Shriya Saran were considered for an item number in Singam 2 but both the actresses could not do for one or the other reason. However, this came as a blessing for budding actress Anjali of Angadi Theru fame and she has done a special number in forthcoming Surya starrer film.

Anjali has recently shot the item number for Singam 2. It is said to be an introductory song of Surya and the track has come out well. Reports say that it was picturised in Tuticorin. The actress, who is busy with Settai, has been paid a huge amount for the song.

According to director Hari, the producers of Singam 2 had offered the song to some of the popular names of Telugu film industry and Bollywood, but they could not get the required dates from them. As Anjali had available dates, they choose the young actress for the track composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

However, Singam 2, which is a sequel to Singam, stars Surya, Anushka Shetty, and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles. The film is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja and the major part of the film will be shot in South Africa.
