Music director Jessie Gift entered the wedlock on September 13. He married Athulya, who is pursuing her doctorate in Kannur University, at Kottackkattu Convention centre, Thiruvananthapuram.

Jessie Gift, who is a Christian, married Athulya as per the Hindu rituals. It is said to be an arrange marriage where the bride was chosen by the parents of the music director. But there is no information whether the couple would have another wedding (white-wedding) as per the Christian customs. It was mainly attended by the bigwigs of Malayalam film industry.

Jessie Gift, who is a Malayalee, is popular in Kannada films than any other language. Though he has worked in all South Indian languages and Bollywood, he became very popular in Sandalwood with the the albums like Hudugata, Sanju Weds Geetha, etc.
