It's not Pookadai but Kadal for Mani Ratnam

The ifs and buts related to the title of Mani Ratnam's next has finally come to an end. Well, the movie name is not Pookadai as reported earlier but it is Kadal.

Kadal will be the launchpad of vetertan actor Karthik's son Gautham. Pairing up with him in the film is Samantha, who is much senior to the budding actor. The forthcoming movie also features Arjun Sarja playing the central character in the movie. Arvind Swamy and Lakshmi Manchu are also doing some important roles in it.

Technically, like before, Mani Ratnam's trusted men AR Rahman and Rajeev Menon are handing the music and cinematography department, respectively. However, Kadal is said to be set on the fishermen backdrop around Rameswaram.
