KS Ravikumar seems to have finalised his cast for his Bollywood debut film. The filmmaker, who is remaking Vikram starrer Saamy in Hindi, has zeroed in on Sanjay Dutt and Prachi Desai to play the lead roles in the upcoming movie.
The director has confirmed to a leading daily that Prachi Desai has been signed to play the female lead, which was played by Trisha Krishnan in the original, and she will have a different avatar in the film. The movie also features Prakash Raj in an important role.
KS Ravikumar claims that he has tweaked the script to suit the taste of Hindi audience. The film will take off on July 15 and the first schedule of the shooting will be either shot in Hyderabad or Mumbai.
Saamy was a mass-masala film, which tells the story of a tough cop. The movie was directed by Hari and produced by Pushpa Kandasamy. It starred Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, Vivek and Kota Srinivasa Rao in the key roles.
