Director
Shankar's
upcoming
Tamil
movie
I,
which
is
also
simultaneously
made
in
Telugu
and
Hindi,
has
often
been
making
headlines
in
the
recent
times
and
that
too
in
connection
with
the
casting
female
lead
in
the
film.
The
rumours
mills
in
the
K-Town
are
abuzz
with
the
news
that
Bollywood
actress
Priyanka
Chopra
has
been
approached
for
this
much-anticipated
movie,
which
is
produced
by
Aascar
Ravichandran.
Interestingly,
the
news
about
Priyanka
Chopra
started
doing
rounds
soon
after
another
Bollywood
actress
Deepika
Padukone
denied
reports
that
she
has
been
approached
for
the
multilingual
film
I.
Reports
suggest
that
Piggy
Chops
has
been
approached
by
the
producers
of
the
film
an
year
ago.
Reports
suggest
that
Shankar's
I
starring
Vikram
in
the
male
lead,
is
set
in
two
different
time
period.
Actress
Amy
Jackson
is
reportedly
playing
the
female
lead
in
one
portion.
Now,
the
producers
are
in
search
of
another
popular
actress
for
another
portion.
They
are
reportedly
in
talks
with
PC,
who
is
expected
to
take
a
call
on
it
soon.
Meanwhile,
a
source
close
to
the
actress
admits
that
Priyanka
Chopra
was
approached
by
a
member
from
Shankar's
team
for
a
film
and
that
too
last
year
and
she
had
rejected
the
offer
as
she
was
busy
working
round
the
clock.
But
the
source
denies
that
PC
has
not
been
approached
by
anyone
now.
However,
the
source
did
not
turn
down
the
possibility
of
PC
signing
the
movie
I.
It
further
says
that
Shankar
is
a
very
big
director
in
South
India
and
getting
an
opportunity
to
work
with
him
is
a
big
deal.
The
source
adds,
"If
dates
can
be
worked
out,
Priyanka
Chopra
will
sign
the
movie."
