Rajinikanth-Kamal Hassan grace Jaya TV anniversary

Chennai:Jaya TV celebrated its 14 anniversary on Wednesday (August 29). The function witnessed many bigwigs of Tamil film industry gracing the function. The prime attractions of the event were Rajinikanth and CM Jayalalitha, who attended the first ever event organised by the television channel.

The living icons of Tamil cinema like Rajinikanth, who is rarely attending any public function after he fell ill last year, Kamal Hassan, music composers MS Viswanathan, TK Ramamurthy and Ilaiyaraaja shared the dais. The event was organised at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai and TM Sounder Rajan, PB Sreenivas, P Susheela, SP Balasubramaniam and MSV were honoured at the function.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Jayalalitha felicitated MS Viswanathan-TK Ramamurthy and sang paeans of the music directors' contribution to the music world. She also presented the kitties containing 60 gold coins to mark their 60 years in the film industry. Apart from it, MSV was conferred with the title 'Isai Chakravarthy' and Ford Fiesta was presented to the duo.

K Balachander, Vijay, Prabhu, AVM Saravanan, Sathya Raj, Surya, Sarath Kumar, Suhasini Maniratnam, Ameer, Simran Chinmayi and other prominent celebrities were spotted at the event.
