Saguni off to a flying start at the Box Office

Despite getting mixed reviews, Karthi's Saguni has got a flying start at the Box Office. The movie, which was released on June 22 in 1150 screens, has made an incredible business in the first weekend, thereby bringing smiles on the faces of the makers of the film.

An unconfirmed trader says,"Saguni has collected around Rs. 8.25 crores at the Domestic Box Office in the opening weekend. On an average, it has garnered Rs. 2.75 crore in the first three days." Reports emerging from abroad also suggest that it has done reasonably good business at the International Market too.

According to the buzz, Saguni has raked in £ 50,322 [Rs 44.79 lacs] at the UK Box Office and $ 88,748 [Rs 50.60 lacs] at the US Box Office. The film has also done remarkable business in Malaysia, Singapore and other countries.

Saguni, starring Karthi, Pranitha, and Santhanam is a political satire, written and directed by Shankar Dayal.
