Chennai.
The
movie,

in
45
screens
in
Tamil
Nadu,
ran
to
packed
houses
in
and
around
the
city.
Traders
say
that
as
there
were
no
big
Tamil
releases,
Ek
Tha
Tiger
was
grandly
welcomed
by
Tamil
audience.
It
is
noted
that
very
rarely
a
Hindi
movie
gets
such
an
opening
in
the
state,
as
the
Bollywood
movies
are
still
not
so
popular
in
Tamil
Nadu.
While
Ek
Tha
Tiger
did
an
amazing
business
in
and
around
Chennai,
the
other
regions
got
decent
response,
say
traders.
The
Salman
Khan
starrer
movie
is
distributed
by
Sathyam
Cinema
and
it
is
released
in
20
screens
in
Chennai
alone.
In
the
recent
times,
Shahrukh
Khan's
Ra.One
and
Akshay
Kumar's
Rowdy
Rathore
(Hindi
version
of
Siruthai),
did
notable
business
at
the
Chennai
Box
Office.
The
theatres
across
the
country
screening
Ek
Tha
Tiger
were
overflowing
with
movie
buffs
within
and
outside
in
the
morning
shows.
In
many
places,
the
theatre
owners
had
to
call
the
police
to
control
the
mob.
Trade
analysts
have
already
predicted
that
Ek
Tha
Tiger
would
collect
Rs
27
to
30
crores
nett
on
the
first
day.

is
an
out-and-out
action
entertainer.
It
