Samantha being paid less in Tamil

Samantha might have reached the eight-digit pay mark in Telugu film industry but it is not the same for her in neighbouring Tamil film industry. The gorgeous actress, who is being considered as a lucky charm in Tollywood, is drawing less salary in Kollywood.

The buzz is that Samantha will be busy with two big projects in Kollywood. The actress, who is doing a film each with maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam (Kadal) and Gautham Menon (Neethaane En Ponvasantham), has pocketed somewhere around 75-80 lakhs for these films.

The moderate success of her earlier Tamil movies Baana Kaathadi and Moscowin Kavery has made the filmmakers to pay her less remuneration in Kollywood, claims a report. However, the scenario will change if her movies work well at the Tamil box office.
