Gautham Menon, who is busy with the Hindi version of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa titled Ek Deewana Tha, seems to be keen to make it big in Bollywood. The filmmaker, who entered Bollywood with Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, is now planning to remake his other Kollywood blockbuster Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu in Hindi and Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan are in his wish list to perform the lead role played by Kamal Hassan in the original.
The director has confirmed that he is planning to remake Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu in Hindi. Gautam Menon claims that a top Bollywood star will play the lead role and he is considering Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan along with other actors. He believes that the Ra.One star fits better than anybody else for the role of a cop enacted by Kamal Hassan. However, he has not met or offered it to any of the actors yet, adds the filmmaker.
Meanwhile, Gautham Menon, apart from Ek Tha Deewana, is busy with Neethaane Enn Ponvasantham, which is simultaneously made in three languages. After the completion of this project, he will take up Vijay's Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru.
