UTV
Motion
Pictures
has
started
planning
the
remake
of
Barfi,
which
is
the
official
Indian
entry
to
the
Oscars.
Now,
we
hear
that
the
hunt
for
the
lead
role
played
by
Ranbir
Kapoor
in
the
original
has
begun.
The
buzz
is
that
Silambarasan
aka
Simbu
has
been
approached
by
the
makers
of
the
film.
The
actor
has
reportedly
shown
interest
in
the
project
but
things
are
just
being
worked
out.
In
fact,
Barfi
has
impressed
the
Tamil
actor
a
lot
and
he
is
confident
on
the
subject
working
wonders
in
Kollywood
too.
Apart
from
Simbu,
Jeeva's
name
is
also
doing
rounds.
It
may
be
because
the
Ko
star
has
recently
worked
with
UTV
Motion
Pictures'
Mugamoodi
and
he
shares
a
good
rapport
with
the
makers
of
the
movie.
In
the
recent
times,
the
production
house
has
been
making
multiple
versions
of
its
successful
movies.
Delhi
Belly,
which
is
being
made
in
Tamil
as
Settai,
and
Vettai,
which
is
being
remade
in
Hindi,
are
the
two
examples
of
it.
Barfi
starring
Ranbir
Kapoor,
Priyanka
Chopra
and
Ileana
D'Cruz
has
received
a
superb
response.
With
the
superb
performance
of
the
lead
stars
and
wonderful
content,
the
movie
is
doing
a
massive
collection
at
the
Box
Office.
