Tamil film industry was considered as a tough market for dubbed movies, or the movies, which feature other language stars in prominent roles. However, Naan Ee, with its unique content, has proved the beliefs wrong by setting a new record at the Box Office.

SS Rajamouli's Naan Ee was released on July 6 with a decent hype in Tamil Nadu. The SS Rajamouli factor was only considered to be the working element in the movie. However, after the release of the movie, the Kollywood audience embraced the movie for the rare content, mind-blowing performances of Kannada superstar Sudeep, Samantha and Nani.

According to the trade reports, Naan Ee has collected close to Rs 25 crore (Gross) in 50 days. The movie was released in 235 screens (Tamil version) worldwide. It completed 50 days in 74 centres across Tamil Nadu on August 25. The movie was acquired by PVP Cinemas for Rs 5 crore and it sold the television rights to Sun TV for Rs 3.5 crore. Earlier, Anushka Shetty's Arundhati had collected Rs 6.5 crore at Tamil Box Office.

However, Naan Ee is a graphical-extravaganza flick, which tells the story of a fly seeking revenge on the villain in its reincarnated form.
