Sun Pictures snaps Vijay's Nanban?

By Ramchander

Rumour mills are working overtime and have discovered that the forthcoming movie, Nanban has fallen into the laps of Sun Pictures, which was not in good terms with Vijay. However, it is not sure whether it has bagged both the distribution and satellite rights or anyone of it.

Sreedhar Pillai, industry tracker, has also echoed the same. On his Twitter page, he wrote, “Rumours r rife that Sun Pictures has purchased Nanban. I feel it will only b television rights, and not theatricals. Wait 4 official news."

If these rumours turn true, then it is the surprising development for many, as Vijay and former Chief Minister Karnunidhi family were at loggerheads due to political and professional differences, which made them to cut off all ties.

Nanban is a remake of Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots, which starred Aamir Khan, Madhavan, Sharman Joshi and Kareena Kapoor in the leads. In the Tamil version, Vijay, Srikanth, Jeeva and Ileana D'Cruz are enacting the respective roles.
