Sun TV acquires Naan Ee (Eega) TV rights for a whopping price

SS Rajamouli's magnum opus Eega (Naan Ee in Tamil) seems to have not only drawn attention of Telugu audience, but also the Kollywood movie goers. As an evidence, the satellite rights of the upcoming movie has been acquired for a record price by none other than Sun TV, which enjoys the highest viewership among Tamil audience.

The buzz is that Sun TV has procured the television rights of Naan Ee for astounding Rs 3.35 crore and also the distribution rights have sold for Rs 5 crore. Sharing his excitement, SS Rajamouli tweeted, “When Eega Tamil rights were sold for 5 crores, I was a bit worried that we are overselling. Tamil satellite rights were sold for a whooping 3.35 crores!! We are left wondering whether we undersold the rights.”

Naan Ee starring Sudeep, Samantha and Nani is a socio-fantasy film made using extensive CGI (computer-generated imagery) and VFX (visual effects) technologies. It tells the story of a fly, which uses its intelligence to kill its rivals and take revenge.
