sequel
to
blockbuster
Singam,
took
off
on
Wednesday
(September
19)
on
the
auspicious
day
of
Ganesh
Chathurthi
in
Chennai.
The
movie
started
rolling
with
a
formal
pooja
that
was
graced
by
Sivakumar,
Karthi,
N
Lingusamy,
Hari
and
other
noted
names
of
Kollywood.
The
forthcoming
movie
directed
by
Hari
also
features
Anushka
Shetty
and
Hansika
Motwani,
who
were
not
present
at
the
muhurath
of
Singam
2.
However,
there
is
also
buzz
that
either
Nayantara
or
Shriya
Saran
will
be
doing
an
item
number
in
the
film.
The
interesting
part
of
the
cast
is
that
comedians
Vivek
and
Santhanam
have
been
signed
to
play
some
important
roles
in
the
movie.
The
regular
shooting
has
been
delayed,
as
Surya
has
been
completely
busy
with
his
next
movie
Maattrraan.
It
is
expected
to
start
in
the
first
week
of
October.
Sources
have
also
said
that
Singam
2
will
be
much
bigger
and
better
than
the
first
instalment.
The
Tamil
movie
will
be
reportedly
shot
in
South
Africa
and
Kenya.
While
KE
Gnanavel
Raja
is
the
producer
of
the
movie,
Devi
Sri
Prasad
is
the
music
composer
and
Priyan
is
the
cinematographer
of
Singam
2.
