Surya in Traffic remake

The Tamil remake of Traffic, which was a superhit film in Malayalam, has been in the news for over a year now. The latest to hear about the film is that Surya has been roped in to act in the forthcoming Kollywood film.

Well, Surya, who is completely busy with his next multilingual film Singam 2 directed by Hari, is not doing a lead role rather he will be doing a cameo in Traffic remake. The actor has shot his portion recently. Though Surya's role was not there in the original version, to increase the product value, the makers of the film decided to rope in the Ghajini star.

The film has been titled as Chennaiyil Oru Naal. The film also features Sarathkumar, Cheran, Prasanna, Mithun, Nassar, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Manobala, Parvathi Menon and others in the cast. The upcoming Tamil movie is directed by Shaheed Kader and produced by Raadhika Sarathkumar.

Earlier, it was said that Kamal Hassan would star in the remake of Chennaiyil Oru Naal, which is expected to hit the screens in January 2013, and he had also expressed his wish to star in the film. However, it did not happen, as the actor became busy with Vishwaroopam.
