Thuppakki overpowers Podaa Podi at UK Box Office

Thuppakki has overpowered Podaa Podi on the release day at International Box Office. The Vijay starrer film has done an amazing business on the opening day in the UK and Australia.

On the release day, Thuppakki has raked in £ 31,459 (Approximately 27.40 lacs) in 23 locations in the UK. Whereas on Wednesday (November 14), the Vijay's film has collected £ 24,336 (21.19 lacs). The total collection of the first two days stands at Rs 48.66 lacs.

On the other end, Podaa Podi has made £ 3,544 (Rs 3.09 lacs) on the release day in the UK. On Wednesday, the collections got better, as the film raked in £ 3,720 (3. 24 lacs) from 10 locations. The total revenue of the movie in two days stands at seven lakh plus.

Meanwhile, even in the Australian Box Office, Thuppakki has got a good start. Despite facing a lot of competition from other movies including Hindi movies like Shahrukh Khan's Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Ajay Devgun's Son of Sardar, the Vijay starrer movie has managed to collect A$ 31,567 (17.99 lacs) from 5 locations in two days.
