Thuppakki v/s Podaa Podi: Which movie will you watch today?

Tamil audience, who had celebrated last Diwali with the two big releases of Velayudham and 7aum Arivu, will have two big films this time too. Well, Vijay's Thuppakki and Silambarasan's Podaa Podi are hitting the screens today (November 13).

Thuppakki and Podaa Podi is releasing worldwide in good number of screens. Thangar Bachchan directorial Ammavin Kaipesi and Arun's Kasi Kuppam are also hitting the screens for Diwali. However, the clash is between Vijay starrer movie and Simbu's film, as these films have big names in the cast.

Thuppakki is an action-thriller directed by AR Murugadoss. The movie features Kajal Aggarwal, and Vidyut Jamwal in the important roles. The film is produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu. On the other end, Podaa Podi is a comedy film directed by Vignesh Shivan and produced by Padam Kumar. The movie marks the debut of Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, the daughter of senior actor Sarathkumar.

It has to be noted that both the films have bagged clean 'U' certificate from the Regional Censor Board. The early response tells that both the films have good response from audience but Thuppakki is way ahead of Podaa Podi, as it is an AR Murugadoss and Vijay's film.
