In
a
surprising
development,
Vijay's
fans
from
various
parts
of
Tamil
Nadu
have
demanded
a
ban
on
the
actor's
recently
released
Thuppakki.
A
petition
to
the
Home
Secretary
has
been
submitted
by
fans,
who
were
unhappy
over
the
film
for
showcasing
the
Muslims
in
bad
light.
A
peace
between
the
Muslim
groups
and
the
makers
of
Thuppakki
was
held
recently,
and
both
the
parties
resolved
the
issue
after
director
AR
Murugadoss
agreed
to
delete
the
scenes,
which
hurt
the
Muslims.
However,
Vijay's
Muslim
fans
have
now
come
out
alleging
that
those
scenes
have
not
been
deleted
and
the
assurance
was
just
an
eye-wash.
So,
the
Muslim
fans
of
Vijay
from
various
parts
of
the
state
had
talks
between
them
and
decided
to
dissolve
the
fan
clubs,
as
the
actor
has
failed
to
understand
their
sentiments.
They
have
also
taken
up
the
issue
seriously
and
has
submitted
the
petition
to
the
Home
Secretary
with
the
support
of
Indian
National
League
Party.
Earlier,
the
Islamic
organisation
protested
against
the
film
and
alleged
that
Thuppakki
portrays
Muslims
as
terrorists
and
traitors.
However,
the
movie
bosses
apologised
later
and
said
that
their
intention
was
not
to
hurt
any
community
but
also
agreed
to
chop
the
scenes,
which
hurt
the
sentiments
of
Muslims.
