The
makers
of
Thuppakki
have
bowed
down
to
the
demands
of
Muslim
groups
after
it
raised
objection
over
several
scenes
in
the
recently
released
film.
The
movie
bosses
have
apologised
and
have
agreed
to
delete
those
scenes,
which
show
the
Islamic
religion
in
bad
taste.
The
Federation
of
Muslim
Organisations
and
Political
Parties
and
AR
Murugadoss
had
a
meeting
on
Wednesday
and
addressed
the
media
after
the
three-hour
discussion
over
the
issue.
AR
Murugadoss
said
that
their
intention
is
not
to
hurt
anyone's
sentiment.
Muslims
are
our
brothers
and
the
makers
have
agreed
to
delete
the
scenes
that
hurt
the
Muslims
sentiments.
SA
Chandrashekar
also
said
that
he
wants
his
son
Vijay
to
be
considered
as
the
son
of
every
mother,
and
they
respect
all
religions.
He
went
on
to
say
that
the
actor
would
be
doing
the
role
of
a
Muslim
in
his
next
movie.
"I
wish
to
state
that
Vijay
will
play
a
Muslim
in
his
next
film," he
said.
The
Federation
of
Muslim
Organisations
thanked
the
makers
of
Thuppakki
and
requested
all
the
filmmakers
and
actors
not
to
show
their
community
in
bad
taste.
On
Wednesday
(November
14),
the
Islamic
organisation
protested
against
the
film
and
alleged
that
Thuppakki
portrays
Muslims
as
terrorists
and
traitors.
The
makers
of
the
film
should
seek
an
apology
and
remove
those
scenes
that
hurt
the
feelings
of
the
Muslims.
It
also
adds
that
if
they
fail
to
chop
those
scenes,
they
would
held
a
dharna
in
front
of
Vijay's
house.
