Vijay solemnises 11 weddings

Vellore district wore a festive look on Sunday (August 19), as Ilayathalapathy Vijay graced the city for a mass marriage. The city grandly welcomed him and his posters were seen at every corner of the city.

Organised by his fans association Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, the actor along with his wife Sangeetha attended the marriage held at Sathuvachery Rangapuram Krishna Kalynamandam and solemnised the marriage of 11 couples. The Velayudham star presented them valuable gifts and blessed all young couples to lead a happy life.

Vijay posed for the photographs with each couple after the formal completion of the mass wedding, which was performed as per the Hindu rituals. Vijay Makkal Iyakkam's secretary Raviraja, People's Association manager Anand, and Vellore district head Velmurugan and others were present. The actor's fans gathered in huge numbers and at some point of time, the cops lathi charged to control the situation.

Meanwhile, Vijay is currently busy with AR Murugadoss directorial Thuppakki soon after which he will be kick-starting AL Vijay directorial Thalaivan.
