Vijay turns Thanga Magan?

The title of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's next movie directed by AL Vijay is said to be Thanga Magan. After going through several names, the movie bosses seem to have zeroed in on the title, which is the name of a Rajinikanth's popular film directed by A Jagannathan.

Reports claim that the movie, which was earlier called as Thailavan, has been christened as Thanga Magan. The title suits the image of Vijay and it also goes well with the subject. Hence, the movie bosses chose this title.

Adding to that the title is very popular as it is the name of Rajinikanth's 80s film. Like Billa, Thanga Magan could attract the audience. However, sources have confirmed that the forthcoming Tamil film is not a remake of the superstar's earlier film of the same name.

However, the movie was launched recently in a simple manner in Chennai. It also features Amala Paul, Rajeev Pillai, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Santhanam and others in the cast. While Nirav Shah handles the camera, GV Prakash Kumar scores the music. The film is produced by Chandra Prakash Jain.
