Vijay's Thuppakki to clash with Simbu starrer Podaa Podi

It is not Karthi's Alex Pandian but it's Silmabarasan's Podaa Podi, which will clash with Vijay starrer Thuppakki this Diwali. Well, these two movies will fight for supremacy at the Box Office next month.

The makers of Podaa Podi have confirmed that the movie will hit the screens for Diwali. It came as a surprise, as Simbu's other movie Vaalu was also getting ready for release. The VTV star confirmed the news on Twitter and wrote, "Podaa Podi will be releasing for Deepavali! Vaalu has been pushed... After a very long time, will be having a Deepavali release."

It is well-known that Vijay's upcoming film Thuppakki was announced to be a Diwali release a few months ago. Later, it was said that Surya's Maattrraan would be releasing at the same time. However, Vignesh Shiva, the director of Podaa Podi, does not think that it will be a clash and claimed that both films are from the same production house.

Thuppakki is an action film directed by AR Murugadoss. It stars Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in the leads. Whereas, Podaa Podi is a romantic-comedy film, which stars Simbu and Hansika Motwani, directed by newcomer Vignesh Shiva.
