Vijay's Thuppakki trailer sets a trend on Twitter

The desperation of Vijay's fans for the trailer of Thuppakki was clearly visible on Wednesday (October 10) with the video-clip going viral on internet. The online fan club of Vijay left no opportunity to cash in on the hype around the audio and trailer launch function, as it gave live updates of the event, thereby setting trends on social media websites.

As a result, Thuppakki and Vijay were trending on social networking sites like Twitter. While it became buzz words in Chennai on Twitter by 11 am, it took four more hours to become hot keywords searched by people in India. The fans of Vijay discussed and praised the looks of the actor and the trailer of the movie throughout the day.

However, the first trailer of Vijay's Thuppakki was released at the audio launch function of the movie at Sheraton Park Hotel, Chennai on Wednesday. The 41-second video-clip is short, sleek and punchy. As promised, the Thuppakki trailer has lived up to the expectations of the Vijay fans. In the video, Vijay speaks lesser than the bullets that he shoot at his enemies.

Thuppakki is an action-thriller directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Kalaipuli S Dhanu. The movie features Vijay, Kajal Aggarwal and Vidyut Jamwal in the leads. The movie is set in Mumbai and the Ilayathalapathy plays the role of a cop. The movie will hit the screens for Diwali.
