Vikram's Karikalan comes to a standstill

By Ramchander

Vikram's period film Karikalan seems to be heading nowhere. After shooting 25 percent of the film, the upcoming Tamil flick has come to a standstill, as the actor is busy with his other project thereby putting the movie on hold.

Grapevine has it that Vikram, who participated in the first schedule, is keeping himself busy with his Bollywood project David. Of late, he was also in London for his upcoming Tamil movie Thandaavam, which was launched after Karikalan. However, the actor seems to be in no mood to join the Karikalan shoot in the near future as he is devoting his full time to his other films.

Meanwhile, director Kannan has denied the reports and has said that as Vikram is busy in other projects, Karikalan is expected to restart in June. The first schedule of the shooting is completed and the unit is raring to start the second phase.

Karikalan is a historical movie based on one of the popular Tamil kings, Karikalan Chola. Bollywood actress Zarine Khan is enacting the character of Velir girl and Anjali will be seen in an important role.
