Kollywood stars are not paid in peanuts any more. Today, the actors know their market and demand what they deserve. After A-listers like Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Vijay and Ajith Kumar, now Vikram has joined the club of stars charging Rs 15 crore or above per film. Thanks to his raising market in Andhra Pradesh.
According to sources, Vikram has registered his name with Shankar's I. The actor has reportedly got Rs 15 crore to star in two versions (Tamil and Telugu). After a few round of negotiations, Aascar Ravichandran sealed the deal for the above-said amount considering his ability to pull the Kollywood and Tollywood audiences to theatres.
However, it is not sure whether Vikram will be getting a share in movie collections. Nonetheless, it is said that this is the highest-ever paid paycheck to Chiyaan. Meanwhile, Shankar is busy hunting locations in China for his forthcoming movie I. The regular shooting is expected to start once Vikram wraps up his next movie Thaandavam.
The upcoming flick is a romantic-thriller, which has AR Rahman's music, PC Sriram's cinematography, also features Santhanam, Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi, Ramkumar (Nadigar Thilakam Sivaji Ganesan's eldest son) and others.
