AL
Vijay
has
proved
once
again
that
he
only
makes
the
movies
that
could
be
watched
by
all
section
of
audience.
For
the
fifth
consecutive
time,
his
movie
has
got
a
clean
chit
from
the
Regional
Censor
Board.
Well,
the
director's
earlier
movies
Kireedam,
Poi
Solla
Porom,
Madrasapattinam,
and
Deiva
Thirumagal
had
bagged
'U'
certificate
from
censor
and
his
latest
movie
Thaandavam
is
also
not
an
exception.
Thaandavam
was
censored
on
Thursday
(September
20)
and
was
given
'U'
certificate.
The
movie
reportedly
got
appreciation
from
the
members
of
the
board
for
its
clean
content.
Announcing
the
news,
Dhananjayan
Govind,
UTV
South
India
Chief,
tweeted,
"Delighted
&
happy.
#Thaandavam
censored
&
given
clean
"U" certificate
without
any
cuts
...Hereby
confirm
release
date
as
28th
Sept:-)"
Dhananjayan
further
added
that
the
production
house
always
want
to
make
clean
movies,
which
could
be
watched
by
all
section
of
people.
"We
believe
in
self
censorship
...
not
even
a
single
cut
was
given
...
clean
chit
&
clean
"U"
is
something
we
aspire
for
all
our
films,"
he
wrote.
However,
in
the
forthcoming
movie,
Vikram
will
enact
a
role
of
blind
person
who
is
gifted
with
human
echolocation
to
detect
objects
in
his
environment.
This
character
of
the
Chiyaan
is
inspired
by
Kish.
Thaandavam
is
directed
by
AL
Vijay
and
produced
by
UTV
Motion
Pictures.
It
also
features
Anushka
Shetty,
Amy
