Aamir
Khan
seems
to
have
taken
inspiration
from
Amitabh
Bachchan,
who
graced
the
last
edition
of
Chennai
International
Film
Festival
at
his
own
expense.
The
Bollywood
Perfectionist,
like
Big
B,
is
gracing
the
film
festival,
which
will
kick-start
from
Thursday
(December
12),
without
demanding
the
organisers
to
pay
his
expenses
to
be
part
of
the
inaugural
function.
Suhasini
Maniratnam,
festival
organiser,
has
confirmed
the
news
and
said
that
Aamir
Khan
has
given
his
nod
to
grace
the
event.
The
Bollywood
star
will
be
coming
to
Chennai
with
his
assistants
on
his
own.
"Aamir
Khan
has
agreed
to
grace
the
opening
ceremony
of
our
fest
(CIFF).
He
said
he
will
be
there
with
his
assistants
on
his
own
and
that
we
only
had
to
tell
him
when,
where
and
to
which
hotel
he
should
come," festival
organiser,
actress
Suhasini
Maniratnam,
told
IANS.
The
yesteryear
actress
and
the
wife
of
Mani
Ratnam
says
that
they
have
been
chasing
him
to
be
part
of
the
event
for
three
years.
The
organisers
are
moved
by
his
gesture
to
attend
the
event
without
depending
on
them
to
pay
his
bills.
Last
year,
Amitabh
Bachchan
too
had
done
the
same.
