Catherine Tresa To Romance Karthi In Kaali

Actress Catherine Tresa, who has acted in Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam films, is all set to enter Kollywood. She will be making her debut opposite Karthi in the forthcoming Tamil movie Kaali.

Director P Ranjith has confirmed the news and said that they have signed Catherine Tresa to pair up with Karthi in Kaali. He was impressed by her performance in Telugu flick Iddarammayilatho.

"We have roped in Catherine for the film. I liked her performance in her recent Telugu film Iddarammayilatho and therefore decided to cast her. She, along with a few other debutants from the film, are currently undergoing a month-long acting workshop," P Ranjith claims.

The film, which will be produced by Studio Green, is expected to go on the floors soon. "Karthik Sivakumar will play a character that resides in North Madras. The film will highlight what makes this particular character from that part of Chennai so special," he concludes. The movie will be simultaneously shot in Telugu as well.

Kaali will also feature Nassar and Balasingh among a host of debutants in important roles. Meanwhile, Karthi is awaiting the release of Tamil films All in All Azhagu Raja, which will hit the screens for Diwali, and Biriyani.
