Cheran's Daughter Damini To Return Home

Tamil actor-director Cheran, who was in news early this month because of his daughter, is in news again. Now, it is reported that his daughter Damini will return home.

After this incident, Cheran is all set to see good days. Sources say that his daughter Damini has decided to return home and will stay with her parents, by leaving her boyfriend Chandru.

On August 2, Damini filed a complaint alleging that her boyfriend, Chandru had been threatened by the men hired by her father. Following which Cheran addressed the press in Chennai and claimed that Chandru is not from a good family background, police have registered many complaints against him. The actor of Autograph fame, broke down in front of media, when he was talking about his daughter issue.

Cheran also said that Chandru has cheated many girls earlier and police had registered a case against him. He also charged Chandru under information technology act and claimed that Chandru had proposed his elder daughter through Facebook.

Reportedly, Cheran's daughter Damini fell in love with Chandru, a dancer in the TV reality show. In the previous hearing on August 7, Damini had told the court that she wants to live with Chandru's family, and the court ordered her to stay in her school correspondent's house for 15 days counselling.

The trail came in front of the desk again today, August 21, where Damini said that she likes to go with her parents as she faced opposition from Chandru's mother.The statements made by Damini today, may turn the case in favour of Cheran.

Case On Cheran

On August 4, Police had registered FIR against director Cheran based on complaint filed by his daughter Damini and Chandru under information technology act for harassing Cheran's elder daughter online.

Cheran Claimed

Chandru wanted to act in movies, and we suspect that he has been making use of my daughter to get into films. He wanted to become a hero in my movie and wanted me to recommend him to others.

Sources Alleged

Sources had alleged that, Cheran's opposition to his daughter's relationship is purely based on Chandru's caste.

Cheran Cleared

Cheran had rubbished the allegations and cleared that he has brought up his daughter without any religious or caste prejudices. He had also asked how can he send his daughter with a cheat.

In the press conference in Chennai, director Cheran was accompanied by his wife Selvarani Cheran and director Ameer.

KK Nagar police had earlier registered a case of cheating against Chandru. The case was later settled. We have gathered information about many such cases. There is enough evidence to show that Chandru's character is questionable

Cheran Thanked

Cheran was supported by many of his industrial colleagues, where he thanked all of them and said their support and words were like heart transplant for him.
