Gautham Karthik's next is a remake!

Gautham Karthik's dream launchpad Kadal directed by acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam bombed at the Box Office and disappeared from theatres without any trace. The actor is now ready to leave the setback behind him as he is game for his second outing.

The son of yesteryear actor Karthik has reportedly given his nod for his second film. The buzz says that Gautham Karthik has preferred a remake to original after his disastrous debut film. He will be starring in the remake of Telugu hit film Ala Modalaindi which featured Nani and Nithya Menon in the lead.

Ravi Thyagarajan will be helming the project and it is produced by Ravi Prasad Productions. The shooting is expected to start soon in Mysore and Hyderabad. The film unit will also shoot some of the key portions abroad. However, the female lead and remaining crew except musician D Imman have to be finalised yet.
