Gautham Menon Finds His Leading Lady For Simbu

The hunt for the female lead for Gautham Menon's next flick has come to an end. It is not the big names like Samantha or Trisha Krishnan, but a newbie, who has bagged the movie starring Silambarasan. Mumbai-based girl Pallavi Sharda has been signed to romance Simbu in the forthcoming untitled movie.

Gautham Menon has announced that they have roped in Pallavi. He explains that he wanted to cast a top actress opposite Simbu, but as the team required bulk dates, they decided to zero in on a newbie. Pallavi Sharda has been suggested by ace cinematographer Rajeev Menon to Gautham.

According to Gautham Menon, the director saw Pallavi's pictures and asked her to meet her to discuss about the movie. Her looks impressed the filmmaker and he felt that the newbie would do justice to her role. Hence, he roped in her.

Pallavi has already shot for 15 days and Gautham Menon claims that she is good. However, the newbie, who has shot for a few commercials, has featured in several Hindi movies. She was also part of a Tamil movie, which was shelved midway.
