I love Rajinikanth: Salman Khan

There were reports in the last few days that Salman Khan was the Rajinikanth of Bollywood. The Hindi star was compared to the Tamil superstar keeping the fan followers in mind by traders. Well, the Dabangg actor has now reacted to it.

Salman Khan has said that he doesn't consider himself as the Rajinikanth of Bollywood. The Bollywood star says that he will be happy at least if he comes close to the Tamil superstar.

"I love Rajinikanth. I do not consider myself that way (Rajnikanth of Bollywood). As a person, if I come close to him, I would be really happy," Salman Khan told reporters at the trailer launch function of his next Hindi movie Jai Ho. It is interesting to note that the Bollywood star made such claims on the Tamil superstar's birthday (December 12).

However, Jai Ho is the remake of Telugu movie Stalin, which starred Chiranjeevi, Trisha Krishnan and Khushboo. The movie was directed by our own AR Murugadoss. The movie tells the story of an ex-army men, who stands for justice.

"I stand for justice every say. I consider myself as a common man as I do things which a common man does in day-to- day life. Like I ride bicycle, rickshaw, I prefer taking fresh air while travelling in car, etc. Whatever I am today...a superstar is because of my fans. If they wouldn't have loved my first film Maine Pyaar Kiya, then I wouldn't be here," Khan said.

Rajinikanth's 63rd birthday was a low-key affair. He reportedly spent his day with his close friends in Bangalore.
