Kamal Hassan lands in trouble over kissing woman on TV
A few days ago, Prabhu Deva was criticised by Hindu Makkal Katchi, a political outfit in Tamil Nadu, for roping in Sri Lankan actress Jacqueline Fernandez for his Hindi film Ramaiya Vastavaiya. Now, it has turned its anger towards none other than Universal Star Kamal Hassan.
Well, the HMK has said that the indecent behaviour of Kamal Hassan has irked the organisation. The actor, on Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi, the Tamil version of Kaun Banega Crorepati, kissed and hugged a few women on the show that made the organisation turn red face on the Vishwaroopam star.
Recently, Kamal Hassan participated in the Prakash Raj hosted show Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi with partner Gauthami. The actor talked about marriage and live-in relationship. In one of the debates, it was opined that it was not wrong for a couple to be in a live-in relationship without getting married.
This statement has also come under severe criticism from the HMK. They have filed a case against Kamal, Gauthami, Prakash Raj, TV Anchor Divyadarshini and a participant Priya claiming that they have disrespected Indian culture. Continue reading the story with pictures on the slideshow...

According to the HMK, Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi has lakhs of viewers all across the state. In spite of knowing it, they did not mind kissing and hugging on-screen. And Divyadarshini and Priyadarshini were also no exception.

"What's the need for a star to hug and kiss in a Television show which was intended to create awareness on different issues in the society. Such acts will only increase the sexual atrocities on women," the HMK said.

It adds, "The show also witnessed debates on marriage and one of the views exchanged during the debate was that it's not ‘wrong' for a man and a woman to have a live-in relationship without getting married."

"Programmes such as these contribute to the various incidents of sexual atrocities taking place across the country. We request you to take proper action against Kamal Haasan, Prakash Raj, Gauthami, Divyadarshini and the middle-aged woman (Priya) on the show for bringing disrepute to Indian culture by openly indulging in such acts as stated above," the press release said.

However, neither the show organisers nor Kamal Hassan or others have responded over the controversy yet.
