Madhavan
was
not
seen
in
Tamil
films
after
his
hit
movie
Vettai.
The
actor
kept
himself
busy
in
Bollywood.
Now,
the
time
has
come
for
him
to
make
a
comeback
to
the
Kollywood.
Yes,
he
is
returning
with
an
untitled
movie
directed
by
Sudha
Kongara,
a
former
associate
of
maverick
filmmaker
Mani
Ratnam,
of
Drohi
fame.
The
multilingual
actor
will
be
playing
the
role
of
a
retired
boxer
in
the
flick.
His
look
in
the
film
was
witnessed
by
media
when
he
attended
the
Centenary
function
of
Indian
cinema
recently.
With
fully
grown
hairs
and
a
beard,
Maddy
stunned
the
onlookers.
For
the
role
in
the
yet-to-be-titled
movie,
Madhavan
has
underwent
a
rigorous
training
in
the
US.
Some
experts
from
the
Hollywood
have
helped
him.
Maddy
also
hit
the
gym
to
get
the
chiselled
body
for
his
role
in
the
forthcoming
Tamil
movie.
"When
I
got
into
the
boxing
ring
for
the
first
time,
I
didn't
last
for
even
a
minute.
Now,
I
have
a
renewed
sense
of
respect
for
boxers.
It's
the
most
physically
challenging
role
I
have
done.
I've
spent
most
of
my
time
in
the
gym
trying
to
look
the
part," the
Mumbai
Mirror
quoted
Madhavan
as
saying.
The
forthcoming
project
is
expected
to
take
off
in
December.
