Manivannan Wife Sengamalam Passes Away

Veteran actor and director Manivannan's wife Sengamalam passed away this morning (Aug 16), in Chennai. She was 55. It's been exactly two months after the death of her husband.

Sources said that Sengamalam's health was down right from the day of Manivannan's death. Kollywood is just recovering from the sudden death of versatile actor and director Manivannan's demise.

Manivannan passed away on June 15, 2013, at his residence in Nesapakkam, Chennai due to sudden cardiac arrest.

Sengamalam is survived by his son Raghuvanan and daughter Jyoti. The funeral ceremony of the diseased is expected to take place this evening. Seeman's NaamThamizhar Party has taken the initiation for the arrangements.

Sengamalam's husband Manivanna was one of the most experienced actor in the Tamil film industry, and had directed exactly 50 movies in his career.

Meanwhile, their son Raghuvannan, who debuted as an actor with Maaran, alongside Sathyaraj, had played a part in his father's 50th directorial venture, Amaidhi Padai-2, again alongside Sathyaraj. It is said that he has also been signed to play the lead in Thalattu Machi Thalattu.
