Many
actresses
from
Tamil
films
did
not
turn
up
to
the
token
fast
called
by
Nadigar
Sangam,
the
South
Indian
Film
Artistes'
Association
(SIFAA),
on
Tuesday
(April
2).
While
stars
like
Rajinikanth,
Kamal
Hassan,
Ajith
Kumar
and
many
postponed
all
their
work
and
attended
the
strike,
a
couple
of
female
stars
failed
to
be
part
of
it.
It
seems
Nadigar
Sangam
has
taken
it
seriously
and
has
decided
to
send
notices
to
all
those
actresses,
who
failed
to
stand
up
for
the
cause.
Tamil
film
industry
observed
a
token
fast
to
protest
alleged
"war
crimes" against
Tamils
in
Sri
Lanka.
The
whole
industry
came
together
to
show
up
their
solidarity.
Many
artists,
directors,
producers,
distributors
and
exhibitors
participated
in
the
hunger-strike
being
held
at
the
premises
of
South
Indian
Film
Artists'
Association
in
Chennai.
Stars
like
Rajinikanth,
Kamal
Hassan,
Ajith
Kumar,
Vikram,
Surya
Sivakumar,
Karthi,
Prakash
Raj,
Vishal
Krishna,
Arjun
Sarja,
Silambarasan,
Sarath
Kumar,
Sathyaraj,
Dhanush,
Bharath,
Jeeva,
Sivaji
Prabhu,
Vikram
Prabhu,
Jayam
Ravi
and
Arya
were
part
of
the
event.
However,
it
was
not
the
same
in
case
of
heroines,
as
the
actresses'
turn-out
was
poor.
Namitha,
Lakshmi
Rai,
Dhansika,
Ramya
Krishnan,
Urvashi,
Ambika
and
Lakshmy
Ramakrishnan,
among
others
were
spotted.
But
Trisha
Krishnan
came
late
to
the
venue
due
to
her
other
commitment.
But
the
big
stars
like
Nayantara,
Shriya,
Tamanna
and
others
skipped
the
strike.
However,
we
are
bringing
you
why
they
