Nazriya Nazim, who created a controversy a few days ago by alleging the makers of Naiyaandi makers of using a body double to shoot an intimate scene without her permission, has taken a U-turn on the issue. After taking back the complaint given at Nadigar Sangam and with Chennai Commissioner, she has given an explanation on the issue on Facebook.
The actress has said that her controversial scene has been removed. To her fans, she wrote, "I have withdrawn my complaint against Naiyaandi director. All my concerns about the possibility of body double scenes being present in the movie have been addressed. The body double scenes from the trailer also have been already removed."
The actress thanked her fans for their support, as she wrote, "I hope you will understand that it's your support that has given me the strength to stand up for what I believe is the right thing to do."
It was said that Nazriya Nazim's controversy was just a publicity stunt and it was another way of promoting the Dhanush starrer Naiyaandi. But she refused it. Dhanush Movies Doesn't Need Such Publicity
Nazriya Nazim believes that Dhanush movies doesn't need such publicity and his films give good publicity for his co-stars.
She believes, "A Dhanush movie doesn't need any cooked up drama for publicity. In fact, such movies gives young artists like me publicity - not the other way around."
Nazriya adds, "I should be a fool to promote myself at the expense of a movie which is a result of a blood and sweat by hundreds of technicians and artists."
Naiyaandi Is An Excellent Family Entertainer
She ends, "Naiyaandi is an excellent family entertainer. I hope you will join me in supporting this movie."
The controversy broke out on Sunday (October 6), when the actress expressed her unhapiness over a particular scene in Naiyaandi. She filed a complaint against the makers of Naiyaandi alleging that they shot an intimate scene using a body double without her permission.
Nazriya also met Chennai Police Commissioner on October 8 and filed a complaint, which claimed that director Sarkunam vowed that the filmmaker would bring disrepect to her community.
A scene where the hero touches the navel of the heroine did not go well with Nazriya Nazim, as it projected, she was part of the intimate scene with Dhanush.
Nonetheless, the single incident has given a good publicity to Naiyaandi, which is releasing today (October 10).
