No Taglines In Upcoming Tamil Movies!

The movie taglines are meant to give a small description about a movie. Apart from the title, taglines play a dominant role in the movie's poster with the punching lines.

Latest buzz from Kollywood is that Tamil movie makers have becoming very particular about the taglines. Recently, Thalaivaa crew was forced to remove the tagline 'Time to lead from its promotional posters.

Following this the makers of upcoming Tamil flick Rendavathu Padam, have included 'No tagline No Problem' in their promotional posters. By this the industry experts are expecting the upcoming Tamil movies will be off taglines. Such is the impact of the Thalaivaa tagline controversy on Kollywood.

Recent release Thalaivaa faced many pre-release controversies in Tamil Nadu. Later the movie release was smoothened, when the movie bosses agreed to remove the tagline 'Time to Lead'.

In the recent press conference, Tamil actor Vishal, who is awaiting his upcoming flick Madha Gaja Raja, asked people to stop promoting the movie in its abbreviated version MGR.

MG Ramachandran (MGR), who was the actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister is the iconic name in the state. Vishal said that it is a powerful tagline that is instantly catchy. But he wishes to remove it as he doesn't want to get into any controversy.

Vishal said, "I have been hearing people using the abbreviated version of the title. I want to reiterate that the film is titled Madha Gadha Raja and not MGR. We don't want to attract controversy and therefore I urge everyone to stop using the abbreviated title."
