As Indian cinema is making a strong impact globally, it's time for South Indian Cinema Industries to claim its space in the realm of world cinema. South Indian Film Industries like Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam will be occupying the centre stage at South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA). It's time to put our hands together to welcome SIIMA 2013.

SIIMA 2013 started yesterday, September 12, in Expo Centre, Sharja, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Talented cinematic personalities from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada film industries will be honoured at the event.

Two days event of SIIMA will be hosted by South sizzling Shirya Sharan, Sonu Sood, Arya and Rana Daggubati. The nominations list has already been announced under various categories from all the four languages.

Addressing the press conference in Dubai, Shriya said, "I am very excited to be a part of SIIMA. I had started my career with South Indian films so this industry is very close to my heart. I am really thrilled that I am co-hosting this prestigious award function and will be sharing the platform with three handsome co-anchors."

South Indian stars like Dhanush, Asin, Hansika Motwani, Priyamani, Kajal Aggarwal, and music composers Harris Jayraj, Devi Sri Prasad, Anirudh Ravichander and others walked the red carpet yesterday evening.

Tamil superstar Dhanush, who is awaiting to score hattrick hits in 2013, walked the red carpet in SIIMA 2013.

Shriya Saran

South Indian beauty Shriya Saran will be hosting the event with Sonu Sood, Arya and Rana Daggubati.

Asin Thottumkal

Asin, who made her appearance in Tamil movies like Ghajini, Sivakasi and Pokkiri, walked the red carpet in SIIMA 2013.

Rana Daggubati

The muscle man Rana Daggubati will also be hosting the event with Shirya Saran and others. The hunk will shortly be seen in Ajith starrer Arrambam.

Trisha Krishnan

Kollywood queen Trisha Krishnan will be honoured in SIIMA 2013, for her contribution to South Indian Cinema.

Hansika Motwani

Bubbly girl Hansika Motwani walked the red carpet in SIIMA 2013. She is nominated for Best Actress for her performance in Oru Kaal Oru Kannadi (OKOK).

Priyamani

South actress Priyamani walked the red carpet in SIIMA 2013. She won National award for her performance in Paruthi Veeran.

Kajal Aggarwal

Kajal Aggarwal is nominated for Best Actress award for her performance in Thuppakki.

Shruti Hassan

Shruti Hassan is also nominated for Best Actress award for her performance in the Tamil movie 3, she was paired opposite Dhanush.

Vikram Prabhu

Vikram Prabhu, who is nominated for best debutant male award for his performance in Kumki.

Amy Jackson

Miss Liverpool, British beauty pageant holder, Amy Jackson walked the red carpet in SIIMA 2013. She made her on screen debut with Tamil flick Madrasapattinam.
