Injured Ajith Kumar finally to undergo a surgery

Ajith Kumar, who met with an accident a few months during the shooting of his forthcoming film which is tentatively titled Valai, has finally decided to undergo a surgery. He will be undergoing the surgery in October.

Thala sustained leg injury in December on the sets of Valai in Mumbai. The actor had decided to continue the shooting with pain as he was not willing to trouble the planned schedules. Hence, the surgery has been delayed.

Ajith Kumar, in a press release, has said that he will be undergoing the operation on October 21 and has decided not to take up any project till he gets fine. "Ajith Kumar will undergo a surgery on Oct 21 and will not contemplate on signing or discussing on any new projects till his complete recovery from the injuries which he sustained during the shoot of his upcoming film," the statement said.

Explaining the delay in the operation, he said, "The reason for the delay of surgery is to accommodate his commitments to veteran producer AM Ratnam whose untitled mega project starring many reputed names is on the floors and the difficulty of coordinating all these artistes' dates was considered," Continue reading the story on the slideshow...

The doctor was called to the sets and he was treated for a few hours in Mumbai. However, the actor continued with the shoots after he felt better.

The untitled film, which is nearing completion, features Arya, Rana Daggubati, Nayantara, Taapsee Pannu, Kishore, Atul Kulkarni, Mahesh Manjrekar and Suma Ranganath in important roles.

Meanwhile, Ajith will start shooting for another Tamil project, which he is doing in honour of the centenary year of late producer Nagi Reddy, and will go on floors April 1 in Hyderabad.
