Pics: Thalaivaa Vijay celebrates birthday on Jilla sets
Illayathalapathy Vijay turned 39 on Saturday (June 23). Like every year, he did not celebrate the special day with grandeur rather it was a simple day for him. But his fans association had a wonderful time, as they had various activities in the name of the actor.
The Velayudham star celebrated the day with the film unit of Jilla, his forthcoming movie. He cut the cake on the sets and served biriyani for the entire team. Vijay, personally, looked after the arrangements and served food for every individual from the crew.
Later, Illayathalapathy had food with the set boys and the producer of the film, RB Chowdhary. Earlier, before joining the shoots, the actor went to his parents' residence and took their blessings. Busy Day For Fans
On the other end, his fans association, which had planned for a grand event on June 8 on the occasion of Vijay's birthday, had a busy day. The members of the fan club cut the cake and distributed sweets.

Like every year, they did charity works. The organisation distributed computers, sewing machines and wheelchairs to the differently-abled and underprivileged members of different human welfare groups.

Meanwhile, the audio of actor's forthcoming movie Thalaivaa was released a day before his birthday. The trailer was also released on the occasion and it has got massive response from audience on internet.

Thalaivaa is his next release and it is directed by AL Vijay. The action flick also features Amala Paul, Santhanam, Ragini Nandwani, and many others in the cast.
Jilla
However, his Jilla is written and directed by Nesan. The film also stars Malayalam superstar Mohanlal and Kajal Aggarwal in the leads. It will release in 2014.
