Pics: Vijay's Jilla launched

Illayathalapathy Vijay's next movie Jilla was launched earlier today (March 11). The film hit the floors at producer RB Choudhary's office in Chennai.

Vijay's father and filmmaker SA Chandrasekhar, actor and the son of RB Choudhary, Jeeva, Mahat Raghavendra, music director Imman and many others were present at the event. However, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who was in Bengaluru on Sunday (March 10) to watch the Celebrity Cricket League final, could not arrive to the muhurat function.

Jilla is produced by veteran producer RB Choudhary under his Super Good Films banner. The filmmaker had given first commercial blockbuster film to Vijay in the form of Poove Unnakaga. The movie eventually brought him a stardom in Tamil industry.

Later, they worked in hit films like Thulladha Manamum Thullum and Tiruppachi. Hence, Vijay has given his callsheet to RB Choudhary. However, Vijay is also a good friend of producer's son-actor Jeeva with whom he worked in Shankar's Nanban. Continue reading on the slideshow...
