The
shooting
of
Rajinikanth
and
Deepika
Padukone
starrer
Kochadaiyaan
is
completed
and
the
first
edited
copy
of
the
film
was
received
well
by
the
team.
The
movie,
which
was
delayed
due
to
the
health
concerns
of
the
superstar,
seems
to
be
getting
ready
for
the
release
in
the
later
part
of
the
year.
KS
Ravi
Kumar
was
supposed
to
direct
Rajinikanth
and
Deepika
Padukone
in
Rana,
the
movie
has
been
put
on
back
burner
after
Rajini
fell
ill.
However,
when
the
superstar
started
recovering,
the
proposed
project
was
pushed
and
Kochadaiyaan
under
the
leadership
of
Soundarya
Ashwin,
the
daughter
of
the
Endhiran
actor,
was
announced.
It
has
to
be
noted
that
KS
Ravikumar
has
penned
the
stories
for
both,
Kochadaiyaan
and
Rana.
Later,
the
makers
of
the
movie
claimed
that
Kochadaiyaan
was
a
prequel
to
Rana.
However,
the
actress'
dates
given
for
the
Tamil
movie
went
for
toss
but
the
best
efforts
put
by
the
team
made
Deepika
to
manage
her
dates
and
given
nod
for
the
latest
movie
too.
After
completing
the
shooting,
KS
Ravikumar
admitted
that
the
film
has
been
delayed
but
they
worked
over
time
to
complete
the
filming
of
Kochadaiyaan.
