Sana Khan says casting couch exists

Sana Khan, who is returning to Tamil films with forthcoming movie Nadigayin Diary, a dubbed Tamil version of Malayalam movie Climax, has said that casting couch exists in film industry. She is starring in the the biopic of yesteryear sex siren Silk Smitha, but the film is not a remake of Vidya Balan's Hindi film The Dirty Picture.

Speaking to a leading daily, Sana Khan has said that casting couch is prominent in film industry. Those, who do not admit it, are 'liars' according to her. However, when asked whether she had such an experience till date, the actress claims that luckily she has not gone experienced it. The 25-year old strongly adds that she would not believe in bagging offers through casting couch.

"I am part of the film industry and casting couch is so prominent. If people claim otherwise, then they are 'liars'. But by God's grace, I have never experienced such a thing. I don't believe in getting projects by indulging in the casting couch," The Deccan Chronicle quoted the actress as saying. Anthony Eastman, who introduced Silk to the Malayalam film industry, has written the script for the film. "Based on real experiences that he shared with the actress, he has penned the story with lot of detailing and, therefore, it is different from other versions," the director of the film had said earlier.

"But it's not like that. It's a true, emotional story of the rise and fall of an actress. The story is closer to personal life of Silk Smitha, and it is not dirty," Anil told IANS. The film also features Baburaj, Suresh Krishna, Nishan and Rajasri Nair.
