Seenu Ramaswamy game for action flick

By Ramchander

National Award-winning director Seenu Ramaswamy is set to make his first action movie. He is adapting a story written by S Ramakrishnan.

"The film is based on a popular story by writer S Ramakrishnan. It tracks the lives of two characters from two different backgrounds and what happens when they cross paths in life. While one of the characters hails from a village, the other one is from the city," Seenu told IANS.

"I have cast Vimal and Vijay Sethupathi keeping in mind the roles they have done in the past. Vimal has played a villager in few films, therefore I have made him essay the similar role, while Vijay plays city guy," added the director who won National Award for Thenmerku Paruvakaatru.

The film, which will have music by M Raghunanthan, will be produced by KS Sreenivasan. The yet-to-be-titled project will go on floors from July. Meanwhile, the team is busy finalising the remaining cast and crew.

Currently, Vijay is busy filming for Soodhu Kavvum, Rummy and Pannaiyarum Padminiyum, while Vimal is shooting for Rendavathu Padam, Veyilodu Vilayadu and Manja Pai.
