Shahrukh Khan wants a fresh story from AR Murugadoss

By Ramchander
We
have
seen
South
actors
craving
to
work
with
maverick
director
AR
Murugadoss.
But
how
often
we
see
a
superstar
from
Bollywood
expressing
his
wish
openly
to
team
up
with
the
Tamil
filmmaker?
Well,
here
is
a
star,
on
his
recent
visit
to
Chennai,
has
said
that
he
wants
to
join
hands
with
one
of
the
most
successful
directors
in
India.
It
is
none
other
than
Shahrukh
Khan,
who
was
in
Chennai
last
weekend
to
be
part
of
Vijay
Awards.
The
King
Khan
has
said
that
AR
Murugadoss
had
approached
him
to
star
in
a
few
successful
remakes
of
his
South
films.
But
it
did
not
happen
because
the
Bollywood
superstar
wanted
to
star
in
original
films.
Shahrukh
Khan
had
told
AR
Murugadoss
that
why
does
not
he
churn
out
a
fresh
story
for
him
rather
than
coming
up
with
remake
plans.
The
Bollywood
actor
believes
that
at
the
worst
scenario,
the
film
with
a
original
story
would
fail,
but
it
is
okay
for
him
as
he
will
have
the
satisfaction
of
trying
something
new.
"When
my
friend
Murugadoss
tells
me
that
there's
this
hit
film
he's
made
and
he
wants
to
remake
it
with
me,
I
say,
'Why
don't
you
write
one
for
me?
The
worse
that
can
happen
is
that
it'll
go
wrong.
But
that's
OK;
we'd
have
tried
something
original'," the
Times
of
India
quoted
the
actor
as
saying.
Shahrukh
And
Murugadoss
When
asked
whether
he
would
do
a
straight
Tamil
film
ever,
Shahrukh
Khan
did
not
give
a
straight
answer.
He
said
that
he
had
a
lot
of
difficulties
when
he
starred
in
Kamal
Hassan's
earlier
Hindi-Tamil
film
Hey
Ram.
