Sharukh Khan to be honoured with Sivaji Ganesan Award
Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan will be attending the prestigious Vijay Awards this year. For the first time in his career, he is attending a film event related to Tamil film industry.
We have reported on Thursday (May 9) that Shahrukh Khan has given his consent to be part of Vijay Awards. Latest to hear is that the King Khan will be felicitated at the celebration. If reports are to be believed, the Bollywood star will be honoured with Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan Award, which is given for Excellence in Indian Cinema.
Earlier recipients of this award are South Indian film personalities like K Balachander, Rajinikanth, SP Subramaniam, Kamal Hassan, Mani Ratnam and AR Rahman. Shahrukh Khan is the first Hindi movie actor to get the award.
Vijay TV invited the King Khan a few weeks ago to be the guest of honour at the 7th edition of the award ceremony on May 11 at Jawaharlal Stadium, Chennai. But he confirmed his presence on Thursday. Continue reading the news on the slideshow...
