Shankar's PR denies Indian 2 reports

Maverick director Shankar's PR has denied the reports pertaining to Indian 2. He has clarified that the filmmaker is not planning a sequel to the blockbuster film starring Kamal Hassan.

"He (Shankar) has made no announcement about Indian 2. He is extremely busy with I and will not think about his next film until he is done with it. It's nothing but rumours that are doing the rounds in the industry about the sequel," Shankar's agent told IANS.

According to the industry grapevine, Kamal Hassan and Suriya Sivakumar were reportedly roped in for Indian 2. Kamal played the lead in Indian, which also featured Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar, Suganya, Manorama, Senthil and Goundamani. It was dubbed in Hindi as Hindustani. The film won three National awards, including Best Actor, Best Art Direction and Best Special Effects.
