Singam 2 roars at Box Office in Bangalore
The market for the Tamil films in Karnataka, especially in Bangalore, has grown by leap and bounds in the recent years. Thanks to the Tamil migrants and good content, which is making even Kannadigas to watch the Kollywood movies.
Earlier this year, Kamal Hassan's controversial Vishwaroopam had created new records at Bangalore Box Office. The film had earned more than a crore in just few days after its release. Now, yet another Kollywood film has repeated the same magic.
Well, it is none other than Singam 2 starring Surya, Anushka Shetty and Hansika Motwani. The movie, which was released on July 5, has got a solid start at Bangalore Box Office and has made earth-shattering business.

Singam 2 Next To Vishwaroopam
A source from a multiplex said, "Singam 2 is the only movie after Vishwaroopam in 2013 to get such a warm reception. The response for the film has stunned us and even the distributor Basha saab."
Good Time For Plexes
The source added, "In the weekend, all the shows ran for packed house and we heard that all other multiplexes too have made good money." When asked what was making people flock to the theatres, the source responded, "It is undoubtedly the star power of Surya."
What's Working For Singam 2?
"But there are many other factors that are working in favour of the movie. Singam 2 is a sequel to Singam. So, the initial response will be high, and the positive reviews and good word-of mouth is making wonders for the movie," the source concludes.
Distributor Comments
When called distributor Basha to clarify the news, he could only tell that the film has got a fantastic opening, but said that the exact figure is unavailable at this point of time.
Singam 2
Singam 2 is an out and out action movie. It has high-octane action sequences, brilliant screen presence of Surya and tight screenplay. But the only drawback, which is believed by his fans, is that the second half is lengthy and it should have been crispier in order to have larger appeal.
